Jeanie Yu-Ching Chiu, MD, is a board-certified clinical pathologist at MD Molecular Diagnostics in Farmers Branch, Texas. Dr. Chiu has years of experience working as a lab director at multiple diagnostic facilities in California, Oklahoma, and Texas.
After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Geology at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Dr. Chiu completed her Doctor of Medicine at Howard University, College of Medicine in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Chiu returned to Pennsylvania for her residency in clinical pathology at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey. She relocated to California for her clinical fellowship training in transfusion medicine and blood banking at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Medical Center.
Dedicated to her career, Dr. Chiu is a member of the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) committee of the College of American Pathologists (CAP), the medical policy committee (MDPC) of the Plasma Protein Therapeutics Association (PPTA), and the Quality Blood Regulatory Review Group for the America’s Blood Centers (ABC), to name a few.
Dr. Chiu holds medical licensure in the states of Texas, California, and Oklahoma.
